Request new tabs

When opening a topic, it opens on the same tab as the home page. It would be nice if the chosen topic was in a new tab so that we can flip back to the main page without leaving the chosen topic. Thanks for your consideration.

The go-around that I always use - I like having the 2 or more tabs open as well - is to right-click on the link to the new post and choose 'open in new tab' ...would this help? The problem with everything opening in a new tab is that suddenly one finds there are masses of tabs open without realising it!

It is also possible to do the same thing by clicking on the scroll wheel, instead.
